Since the start of the year, Changzhou has been resolutely driving forward the construction of major projects. In the first quarter (Q1), investments in projects valued at over 100 million yuan (excluding real estate development) across the city have demonstrated notable vigor, furnishing robust underpinning for the steady expansion of investments in fixed assets.
As of the end of Q1, a total of 1,043 projects with planned investments exceeding 100 million yuan were recorded, marking a noteworthy increase of 42 compared to the corresponding period last year. Among these, 228 projects showcased planned investments surpassing one billion yuan, indicating a rise of 21 compared to the same period last year.
During Q1, the aggregate planned investment in projects valued at over 100 million yuan reached a substantial 820.87 billion yuan, registering a year-on-year growth of 5.4 percent. This uptick surpassed the overall growth rate of planned investment in all projects by 0.2 percentage points.
In the same period, the culmination of investments in projects valued at over 100 million yuan amounted to 40.96 billion yuan, demonstrating a robust year-on-year increase of 15.9 percent. This escalation outpaced the investment growth rate of all projects by 2.4 percentage points. These projects constituted 88.5 percent of the total project investment, contributing 102.6 percent to the overall growth of project investment. By sector, among investments in projects valued at over 100 million yuan, industrial investment rose 16.5 percent year-on-year, while infrastructure investment witnessed a surge of 39.4 percent.
